Mrs. Janet Buescher (nee: Johannaber) of Marthasville, passed away on Tuesday, April 18, at her home. She was born on December 12, 1933, in Marthasville to the late Oscar and May (nee: Curtis) Johannaber. Jenny had reached the age of 89 years.
Jenny was united in marriage to Clinton "Dick" Buescher on May 9, 1952, at Immanuel UCC in Holstein. They celebrated 49 years together before his passing in 2001. She was very involved with her family, her community, and her church. Throughout her life, she served on the Scenic Regional Library Board, the Women's Guild at St. Paul's UCC, the Church Council, the Rusche Park Board, and as the manager of the Charrette Apartments. She worked in the Real Estate industry for several years at Toedebusch Reality and also worked at Walmart for about 11 years before retiring. Jenny loved watching St. Louis Cardinal Baseball. She enjoyed reading and being a seamstress. She liked going to auctions and collecting glassware (she loved a good find on eBay). Jenny loved spending time with her family and took great pride in being a dedicated and loving wife, mother, grandma, and great-grandma. Her absence will be felt by all who knew and loved her.
Jenny Buescher was preceded in death by her husband, Clinton Buescher; her parents, Oscar and May Johannaber; one sister, June Watson; father and mother-in-law, Sam and Rosie Buescher; in-laws, Harold and Talitha Buescher, Marvin and Rosalee Siem; and one grandson, Travis Buescher. Among her survivors, are her three children, Jim Buescher and wife Cindy of Marthasville, Don Buescher and wife Barb of Washington and Kay Buhr and husband John of Marthasville; five grandchildren, Jason Buescher, Juanita Buescher, Carrie Strunk and husband Brad, Jenny Rodgers and husband Jake, Josie Buhr, and significant other Adam; two step-grandchildren, Brandon Braun and wife Chelsea, Nate Winters and fiancé Hanna; 11 great-grandchildren, Jacie Buescher, Trent Buescher, Tyler Buescher and wife Abby, Zach Buescher, Kyle Buescher, Breana Buescher, Hunter Strunk, Calvin Rodgers, Harrison Rodgers, Reese Rodgers, Jack Braun; one great-great-granddaughter, Ellorie Buescher.
We will celebrate the life of Janet Buescher on Saturday, April 22, at St. Paul's UCC in Marthasville from 9:30 a.m. - 12 p.m. A service will follow on Saturday, April 22, beginning at 12 p.m., also at the church. Memorial donations are suggested to St. Paul's UCC Marthasville, c/o Martin Funeral Home.
