James E. Boos, 94, Warrenton, passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2020.
James was born November 4, 1925, in Alton, Illinois, to John H. and Thelma L. Boos (nee Wilkinson).
Jim was a member of Holy Rosary Church in Warrenton. Jim served his country in WWII, in the United States Army. He was a member of the American Legion and VFW in Warrenton and Hazelwood. Jim enjoyed wood working, creating projects, working in his flower gardens, and watching the St. Louis Cardinals baseball, but Jim's favorite thing to look forward to was calling his children and grandchildren to sing them Happy Birthday. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Jim is survived by his children, David Boos, of Florissant, Nancy (John) Zykan, of Greenville, Illinois, Mary Kathryn (Mel) Buxton, of Florissant, Susan Kertz, of Greenville, Illinois, Lauren (Terry) Krigbaum, of Warrenton, Mary Pat Boos, of California, Patricia Hill, of Warrenton, Sharon (Mark) Bennett, of Warrenton, Margaret Roach, of Wellsville, Barbara (Bill) McVey, of Troy, John (Maria) Boos, of Union City, California, and Thomas (Sheila) Boos, of Warrenton; brother, Fred Kossmann of St. Louis; 32 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father, John H. Boos; mother, Thelma L. Kossman; first wife, Ruth Mary Boos (nee Mehlville); second wife, Madeline Boos (nee: Ries); son, Baby Jimmy Boos; daughter, Janet Misbauer; sister, Dorothy Polite; daughter-in-law, Kathy Boos; son-in-law, Wayne Roach; grandson, Terrance "Terry D" Krigbaum; granddaughter, Cyndi Boos.
Funeral services for Jim will be private.
