James C. Miller passed away in Wentzville, MO on December 5, 2021 at the age of 94. He was the beloved husband of Rhea Miller nee Laughead of Wentzville, Missouri; He is survived by his two sons, James G. Miller of Santa Ana, CA, Mark R. (Kimberly) Miller of Warsaw, MO; two daughters, Karen Lee (Rex) Dawson of Wickenburg, AZ, Lori (James) Kingsbury of Ballwin, MO; eight grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
James was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wentzville, Missouri. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II on the USS Intrepid. He enjoyed duck hunting, playing golf, and riding horses. He was a 4-H Leader in Horsemanship, played semi-pro baseball, and was a member of the Missouri Rodeo Cowboy Association. James was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend to all. He will be dearly missed by family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, James G. Miller, mother, Margot E. Miller nee Hoffman, first wife, Deloris Ann Miller nee Schoemehl, and sister, Betty Lee Kidd.
Visitation for James will be held on Sunday, December 12, 2021, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Pitman Funeral Home, Wentzville. Funeral services will be held the following day, December 13, 2021, at 10 am, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Wentzville. At the request of the family, all attendees of the funeral are required to wear a mask. James will be laid to rest at Laurel Hill Memorial Gardens in Saint Louis, MO.
