An altercation at the Warren County Jail left one jailer injured, according to Sheriff Kevin Harrison.
Harrison said that inmate Elijah Billy Moore, of Warrenton, snapped a toilet cleaning brush and swung it at the jailer, causing lacerations to his face, above his eyebrow and on his cheek. Harrison said the jailer required eight stitches.
Harrison said a second person had a mixture of Magic Shave and soap thrown in the eyes. That officer had his eyes flushed and was released.
The incident caused police from multiple different agencies, including Warrenton, Wright City, Truesdale, and the Missouri Highway Patrol to descend on the jail.
Multiple ambulances and EMS were on scene as well.
Police began leaving the scene about 2:35 p.m. The Missouri State Highway patrolman left at 2:41 p.m. All but one ambulance and EMS left the scene at 2:44 p.m.
Moore has been sentenced on multiple crimes, including receiving a 30-year sentence after pleading guilty to two counts of attempting to kill a federal oficer, one count of discharging a firearm in furtherance of a crime, and one count of carjacking.
