The Warren County Record is pleased to announce the addition of Jack Underwood to its staff.
Underwood, a St. Louis native, will be the newspaper's new staff writer. He began work on Monday, April 1. His responsibilities will include directing the newspaper’s news coverage and editorial focus.
“It is a privilege to cover your community,” Underwood said, “I will do my best to provide the information you need as quickly and accurately as I can.”
Underwood previously worked as a reporter at the Scottsbluff Star-Herald, a daily newspaper in western Nebraska. His primary reporting responsibilities focused on local government, business and healthcare.
Underwood has a journalism degree from the University of Missouri School of Journalism.
“We’re excited for Jack to join our team,” Publisher Tim Schmidt said. “Jack has proven to be a strong writer in his short career and I can’t wait to see his continued improvement. He understands the role of a community newspaper in the communities we serve and that will keep The Record as the go-to source for local news.”
Underwood can be reached by emailing jack@warrencountyrecord.com or by calling the office at 636-456-6397.
