He especially loved the challenge of getting the lights back on from tornado and hurricane storm damage. Frank retired with Ameren after an exceptional 48-year career.
Frank loved his community and frequently found himself in leadership roles. He served as President of the Warren County Fair Board throughout the 1990s and early 2000s. Always ready for a challenge, he especially enjoyed raising funds for the local Backstoppers Event in Concord Hill. During the 15 years of involvement, the event surpassed one million dollars in support of first responders and their families. Frank also valued his 20 years of service on the Board of Directors for the Warren County 911 Emergency Center. Frank was a supporter of Warren County 4-H and the Warren County Old Threshers Association, including the Tractor Drive and Plow Days. He was also involved in local fundraising efforts for the Warrenton FFA Chapter. He was a member of Friedens UCC and St. John’s UCC in Pinckney. A proud member of the WHS Class of 1965, Frank remained connected to classmates and community throughout his life.
