Mr. Herbert Wesley Cook of Warrenton, MO., passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2020. He was born March 24, 1926, in Marthasville, MO., to Thomas Warren and Clara Rose (Nee: Dothage) Cook. He had reached the age of 94 years, 5 months, and 1 day.

Herbert proudly served his country during World War II in the United States Army. He was a lifetime member of the Humphrey-Schwerdt VFW Post 2180 - Warrenton, MO. He married the love of his life, Marjorie Ann Painter, 70 years ago on February 21, 1950, in Warrenton, MO. To this union, three children were born, Ronald, Beverly, and Peggy. He worked in maintenance most of his life but during his free time, he enjoyed being outdoors. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed working out in his yard. Herbert served on the Board of the Warren County Senior Center. You could also find him in the mornings at McDonalds drinking his coffee. He dearly loved his family and will be greatly missed.

Herbert is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Clara; grandchildren, Jeffrey Warren Dalton and Beverly Kay Dalton; brother, Warren Cook; sisters, Loretta Polston and Hazel Slatten. He is survived by his wife, Marjorie Ann Cook; children, Ronald Cook and wife Sue, Beverly Dalton, Peggy Cook; seven grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; sister, Delores "Babe" Aston; sister in law, Dorothy Togler; many other friends and family.
