Glenda Jane Gilley passed away on February 27, 2022, at the age of 88. Glenda was born November 19, 1933, in St. Louis to Julius and Mary Schrumm nee Gieseke.
Glenda is survived by her children, Pam Gilley-Doumel of Sparta, MO, Julie (Mark) Gilley-Gold of St. Charles, MO, and David (Bonnie) Gilley Jr. of Wright City, MO; 5 grandchildren, Damien, Adam, Justin, Parker, and Emily; 4 step-grandchildren, Jamie, Chris, Suzy, and Drew; and many great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her father, Julius Schrumm, mother, Mary Schrumm, and husband, David Gilley.
In Glenda's childhood, she took ballet for many years. She met her husband, David, at the age of 18 and married when she was 22. They celebrated 62 years of marriage before his passing in 2018. Glenda and David adopted their 2 daughters, Pam and Julie, then were blessed with their son, David. Glenda was President of World Class Travel and loved traveling the world. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Visitation will be held Friday, March 4, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Warrenton. Funeral services will directly follow, and Glenda will be laid to rest at Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery in Warrenton. Memorials may be made to Pink Sisters in care of Pitman Funeral Home P.O.
