Georgene "Ginny" Mischlispy

Mrs. Georgene "Ginny" Mischlispy (nee: Kerlick), 93, Warrenton, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2019, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on Oct. 23, 1926, in St. Louis, Mo., to George and Edna (nee: Zimmerman) Kerlick.

Ginny was married to Melvin Clover on May 4, 1945, and three children were born. Ginny was then married to John Robert Mischlispy on November 6, 1954, in Mountain Home, Arkansas. and to this union, four children were born. Ginny and John were members of Frieden's United Church of Christ in Warrenton. She loved to spend time with her family. When her children were younger, she was very involved with 4H leadership and was the President of PTA. She was also a member of the "Pinckney Pals Ladies Club." She and her husband enjoyed square dancing together. She enjoyed her time cooking at CEF for over 15 years. Ginny loved to quilt, sew and cook. She made everyone an outfit for Christmas and for Easter. Ginny also hosted cooking classes for her children and grandchildren so they could learn to "cook like Grandma." 

Ginny was preceded in death by her first husband, Melvin Clover and her second husband John Mischlispy; her parents, George and Edna; one baby boy, Daryol Clover; one daughter, Nancy Mischlispy; one son, Jim Mischlispy; one sister, Murial Hollenberg. Ginny is survived by her children, Pamela Michalak and husband Kim, Beth Vincent and husband Joseph, John Mischlispy and wife Lisa, Kim Bakker and husband Rob; "extra daughter," Lynne Axley; grandchildren, Matt Michalak (Andrea), Chris Michalak, John Vincent, Amy Vacek (Tony), Cynthia Sample (James), Aaron Clarke (Danielle), Mike Jakul (Ashley Beck), Stacey Blondin (Chad), Kacey Grigery (Allen), Josh Tolliver (Adrienne), Jacob Mischlispy (Meredith), Suzanne Hayes (Matt), Joseph Mischlispy (Jakky), Elizabeth Gibbs (Brett), Heather Bostic (Mike Flake), Patrick Hartzell, Rebecca Bakker (Bud Osmun), Aja Williams (Aaron), Billie Baxter (Jarrod); and over sixty great-grandchildren; one sister, Carol Trillanes and one brother Christian Kerlick (Jeannine); many other family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, Dec. 8, 2019, at Martin Funeral Home, Warrenton, noon to 2 p.m.

The service will begin at 2:00 PM, also at the funeral home.

Burial will follow at Lippstadt Cemetery.
