Mr. Gary Miller, of Broken Arrow, OK, formally of Warrenton, passed away on Saturday, June 27. He was born on December 13, 1946 in Linneus, MO, to the late Bill and Beverly (nee: Carter) Miller. He had reached the age of 79.
Gary was very involved with and loved his community. He had 24 years of service with the Warren County Ambulance District and served on the City of Warrenton Board of Alderman from 2017 - 2024. Gary relied heavily on his strong Christian faith as he served at Faith Christian Family Church for over 50 years. He was united in marriage to Mary Molder on August 22, 1969 in Kansas City, KS. This union was blessed with two children, Kathy and Loyd. Gary worked in the insurance industry for many years a career that kept him in touch with his community. He enjoyed playing golf with his friends when he had the time. Gary was very devoted to his faith and his family and it showed in his character as a husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Gary Miller was preceded in death by his loving wife and best friend, Mary; his parents, Bill and Beverly; and one brother, Charles Miller. He is survived by his children, Kathy Pieper and husband Scott, Loyd Miller and wife Jan; three grandchildren, Ashli Todd and husband Jake, Dustyn Miller and wife Heather, Kaitlyn Westhoff and husband Chad; eight great-grandchildren, Jericho, Israel, Noa, Beckett, Rownan, Beau, Mason and Harper; many other relatives and close family friends.
A Celebration of Life Memorial will be held on Friday, July 10, at Faith Christian Family Church in Truesdale from 10 A.M. - 12 P.M. A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 12 P.M. Memorial donations in lieu of flowers are suggested to be given to ALS Research c/o Martin Funeral Home.
