Mrs. Fay Colleen Swyers (Nee: Baremore) of Warrenton, MO, passed away on Sunday, January 30, 2022, at her home. She was born on July 23, 1924, in St. Louis, MO, to the late James and Grace (nee: Rowan) Baremore. Fay had reached the age of 97 years.
Fay was united in marriage to Charles Lindberg Swyers on October 19, 1944, in St. Louis. To this union four children were born. Fay enjoyed tracing genealogy. She traced her family tree all the way back to Europe. She was born with gorgeous red hair and even modeled in her younger years. To this day, she is still a red head and had never colored her hair. She enjoyed crocheting and making afghans. Fay thoroughly enjoyed playing Bingo. She played at the Elks Lodge, Knight of Columbus, and the American Legion. Fay also loved antiques. She liked going to auctions and antique stores. Fay was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to so many.
Fay Swyers was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; her parents, James and Grace; one son-in-law, Ron Breuer. She is survived by her children, Stephen Swyers and wife Zandra, Sandra Breuer, Gary Swyers and wife Missy, Mary Grooms and husband Paul; 13 grandchildren, Angie, David, Bridget, Stephen, Jamie, Stephanie, Ian, Drew, Caleb, Keegan, Brianna, Chris, Nicole; 15 great-grandchildren, Zachary, Sophia, Ezra, Daphne, Boston, Malcolm, Wallace, Emmet, Camille, Larson, Heidi, Ethan, Isaiah, Samuel, Elijah; other relatives and many friends.
