Eleanore Schnarre

Eleanore Maribel Schnarre, 96, of Bowling Green, Missouri, formerly of Warren County, passed away Monday, January 10, 2022 at SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital, Lake St. Louis, Missouri.

Eleanore was born in Creve Coeur, Missouri on February 7, 1925, the daughter of the late Ronald Lutz &  Lillian (Miller) Begemann.

Eleanore was united in marriage to Elmer Schnarre on June 9, 1945, at Warrenton United Church of Christ.

Eleanore was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, High Hill, Missouri.  She stayed very busy helping her husband work on the farm and being a homemaker, but also held various other jobs throughout her life.  She was the bookkeeper for the Jonesburg Senior Housing, she was a school teacher, she drove a school bus and was a dog groomer.

Eleanore is survived by a son, Randall Schnarre & wife Marsha, of Bowling Green, Missouri; a foster daughter, Rosalie Blaue & husband Donald, of Jonesburg, Missouri; and a foster daughter-in-law, Barb Strube, of New Florence, Missouri; by three grandchildren, four foster grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, seven-step great-grandchildren and two-step great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her stepfather, Martin Begemann, her husband, and a foster son, Herb Strube.

Visitation will be held Thursday, January 13th from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at St. John's United Church of Christ, High Hill, where funeral services will follow at 12:00 p.m., with Rev. Donald Deeker officiating.

Burial will be at St. James Cemetery, Big Spring.  Memorials may be given to St. John's U.C.C., High Hill, Every Child's Hope, St. Louis or St. James Cemetery.  C/O Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home.
