Mr. Edward Hugo Stuermann, of Rocky Mount, passed away on Tuesday, March 26, at the age of 80 years. He was born on August 13, 1943 in Washington, to the late Frank and Marie (nee: Hoffmann) Stuermann.
Edward worked most of his life as a Farmer as well as other careers at the Truesdale Glass Factory and Permaneer Furniture in Wright City. He enjoyed attending dances around the area too. Edward volunteered many hours at the Warren County Sheltered Workshop. He had a huge heart and enjoyed helping the handicapped in any way he could. Edward also had a heart for his family and close friends. He loved to spend time with each of them, sharing stories and just being together. Edward was a wonderful father, grandfather, cousin and friend to many.
Mr. Stuermann was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Marie; and one infant daughter. Surviving family members include, his daughter, Gloria Brock and husband John; granddaughter, Madelynn Brock; cousin, Frank Stuermann and wife Cheryl; adopted daughter, Gina Johnson and husband Kevin; adopted grandchildren, Matthew Johnson and Cherie Johnson; adopted great-grandchildren, Chantley Johnson, Maverick Johnson, and Hudson Johnson; other relatives and close family friends.
A Celebration of Life Visitation and Service was held on Friday, March 29, at Martin Funeral Home in Warrenton. Burial will followed at the Holstein UCC Cemetery in Marthasville.
