Donald L. Johnson Berrey, 87, of Warrenton passed away peacefully at home on November 1, 2020, surrounded by his family.

Donald was born in LaBelle, MO on May 25, 1933, to Rodney and Wava Johnson. At the age of three, he was adopted by John Lewis and Muriel Berrey of Milan, MO.

He served our country in the United States Air Force from 1953 until 1957 as a Nuclear Weapons Mechanic Specialist. Two of the years were spent in England. In 1957 he met the love of his life, Dorothy Faye Foreman. They spent 63 wonderful years together. From this union came two children, Lorraine “Lori” and Robert “Bob”.

Donald was an electrician for McDonnell Douglas Aircraft until his retirement in 1995. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his father. He enjoyed tinkering and could fix anything you gave to him. He had a special interest in restoring his 1947 Salsbury Motor Scooter. His family was very important to him and he was a wonderful father. His grandchildren brought a sparkle to his eye.

He was proceeded in death by his parents and his siblings, JB Johnson(brother),

Emmett Johnson(brother), Jimmy Elliot(brother), Lorene Mansperger(sister), Opal Huntley(sister), Pearl Powell(sister), and Bertha Eberle(sister).

He is survived by his wife Dorothy, daughter Lori(Lenny) Eggering and his son Robert(Gloria) Berrey, grandchildren Jonathan(Tamara) Eggering, Adam(Ashley) Eggering, Jeremy Berrey, Chad Berrey, Jeremy(Nicole) Hines, Becca(Jeff) Luelf, and Julie(Justin) Stuckenschneider.

Great-grandchildren Elias, Jonna, Alexandria, Dawson, Ellie, Eve, and Lillyan. Brothers Dean Taylor and Bob Johnson.

We will be Celebrating the Life of Donald, Wednesday, November 4, 2020, 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home in Warrenton. We will then go in procession to Warrenton City Cemetery for an outside funeral service with full military honors.
