Donald J. Huber Sr. age 77 passed on May 18th, 2021. He was born in Lincoln County Missouri to Simon and Josephine (Hubach) Huber on May 21, 1943. Donald was the third of six children. He was preceded in death by his parents Simon and Josephine, an infant sibling, and younger brother Joseph Charles. Donald was also preceded in death by many close friends whom he missed deeply and held in high regard.

Donald is survived by his wife of 33 years, Melva (Stepanek) Huber of Troy, MO, and his siblings, Ted Huber of Hamel, IL, Mary Ruth (Roy) Jaspering of Warrenton, MO, and Tom (Gwen) Huber of Golden City, MO. Donald resided in Lincoln County, MO. In his younger years, he worked at Permaneer in Wright City, MO and for a short time, he also worked for Flynn Well Drilling in Troy, MO. Along with this, he was also a farmer, raising crops and livestock. Donald was a long-time member of the Lions Club of Hawk Point. Also in his younger years, he enjoyed participating in and watching tractor and garden tractor pulls. Donald was best known for giving others nicknames and telling stories. He always loved a good prank or joke and enjoyed drinks with friends-especially Huber beer.

Donald will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his wife, his children, and grandchildren: Donald Jr. (Debbie), Sheri (Edward), Corey, Susan, Joseph (Rachel), Jeff (Whitney), Kayla (Noah), Justin, Destiny, Breanna (Dustin), and also his great-grandchildren: Logan, Owen, Braelynn, Peyton, Luke, Maverick, a baby is due in 3 weeks and Oakley. He will also be missed and remembered by many other family and friends.

For those of you who knew Donald closely, per his request there will not be a formal visitation or funeral. However, a celebration of his life will be held sometime in June. A remembrance page and guestbook have been set up through McCoy Blossom for friends and family to sign. Memorials can be made to the Hawk Point, St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
