Mr. Donald Gary Mittler, of Marthasville, MO., passed away on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at the age of 72 years. He was born on October 18, 1948 in Washington, MO., to the late Grover and Ella (nee: Ahmann) Mittler.
Don served our country in the United States Army. He was united in marriage to Linda Louise Young on January 25, 1970 in Columbia, MO. They spent 51 years together and raised a beautiful family with two children. His career was with the State of Missouri in the unemployment office. Don enjoyed the outdoors and working on the farm. He and Linda owned the Cinema One Plus in Washington since 1989. Don also enjoyed watching his grandchildren grow up and sharing his sage wisdom with them.
Don Mittler was preceded in death by his parents, Grover and Ella. He is lovingly survived by his wife, Linda; two children, Gwen Louie (Albert) and Karl Mittler (Stephanie); 8 grandchildren, Elijah, Nathaniel, Andrew, Zachary, Samuel, Jace, Brooklyn and Liam; one sister, Peggy Kachulis (Paul); other relatives and many friends.
A visitation for Mr. Donald Gary Mittler will be held on Friday, October 22, 2021 at Martin Funeral Home in Marthasville from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at 10:00 AM, also at the funeral home in Marthasville.
