David Lindner of Warrenton, passed away on May 29, at the age of 70.
He is survived by his beloved wife Carol Lindner (nee: Dieckman) of Warrenton; 5 children, Chris (Sheba) Young of Troy, Dana (Robin) Young of St. Peters, Carmen Bowen of Warrenton, Tracy (Pamela) Young of Midway, GA, and Lorin (Kimberly) Young of Brunswick, GA; eleven, grandchildren; sixteen, great grandchildren; and many many friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Paul (Jane) Lindner, mother, Norma Lindner (nee: Johnson), and son, David Lindner, Jr.
His journey began with his baptism on September 5, 1954, at Holy Ghost Church in Berkley, Missouri, where his faith formed the foundation of his life. In 1983, David married the love of his life, Carol, in Warrenton, Missouri. Their union grew stronger one year later when they celebrated the convalidation of their marriage at St. Mary's Catholic Church, where they also confirmed their faith and received Holy communion together. David was a master technician, earning the affectionate nickname "Shell Answer Man" for his extensive knowledge and expertise. David was passionate about the great outdoors. He embraced every opportunity to partake in outdoor sports, especially fishing. His love for fishing took him across the United States, where he eagerly participated in numerous tournaments. From a young age, David thrived on sports, playing softball and baseball from the age of six until he was 45. Above all, David was a loving husband, devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
A visitation was held Monday June 2 at Pitman Funeral Home in Warrenton. The funeral was also held on Monday June 2 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Warrenton.
