Dana Lynn Skidmore passed away on December 3, at the age of 41. She is survived by her mother, Debi Waterman; grandma Janice; step-fathers, Dave Waterman and Steve Freeman; son, Derrick Skidmore; daughter, Autumn Skidmore; Derrick and Autumn’s father, Wesley “Moose” Skidmore; brother, Joshua Kucera; sister, Stephanie (Freddie) DeLeon; four nieces and nephews, Easton Kucera, Hudson Kucera, Rhys DeLeon, Darcy DeLeon.

Dana was a vibrant soul who brought joy to everyone around her. She had a deep love for the beach, often finding peace and happiness in the waves and sun. A passionate reader and writer, Dana embraced the power of words, sharing her insights and creativity with others. As a natural leader, she inspired those she worked with, making every workplace brighter with her infectious spirit.

She was a member of the Wright City Chamber of Commerce because she wanted to make the world a better place.  She loved everyone she came across and was always willing to help in any way she could.  One day while driving on Hwy 70 she saw a homeless man in distress and jumped into action saving a man's life by performing CPR.

While she enjoyed cooking, it was a journey of improvement for her, and she consistently embraced the challenge with enthusiasm. Dana had a heart for music and loved attending concerts, creating lasting memories with friends. She soaked up moments with her friends at work, always ready to share a laugh, with a smile that could light up a room. Her intelligence and eagerness to learn were qualities that endeared her to many. A devoted fan of the Nebraska Corn Huskers and St. Louis Blues (hockey), you could always find Dana cheering for her team. Most importantly, she cherished the time spent watching her kids play, reveling in their accomplishments and adventures. Dana's warmth, joy, will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew her.

Memorial visitation will be held Saturday, December 14, at 12 P.M. to 3 P.M. at the Pitman Funeral Home in Wentzville. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 14,  at 3 P,M. also at the funeral home.  Memorial donations may be made to: Autumn and Derrick Skidmore Fund.
