The Warren County Planning and Zoning Commission recently approved conditional use permits for two unrelated Internet-based businesses.A business that specializes in making model military kits and accessories for hobbyists won approval to open at 11069 State Highway OO.The permit was needed to allow a light industry business to operate in an agricultural zoning district.The company ships its orders to buyers and dealers located throughout the United States and overseas.It will operate out of a 60-foot by 225-foot finished pole barn at the Highway OO property. The business will be open from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Approximately one to four persons will be employed, according to the permit application.As part of the stipulations placed on the permit, no retail sales or signage will be allowed at the property.The second conditional use permit was issued to William Ray Quillman to operate as a firearms dealer at his residence at 31702 Palmyra Road outside of Warrenton.He will conduct online ordering of firearms and sporting equipment at his residence, located on 32 acres. No inventory will be kept at the residence, according to the permit application.Restrictions placed on the permit include limiting hours of operation only by appointment, no discharge of a firearm related to a commercial transaction on the property and no signage.Additional stipulations on both permits include allowing the county planning and zoning administrator to conduct an inspection at any time, following all state and federal regulations and obtaining all necessary permits and licenses.Planning and zoning members unanimously approved both permit applications at its Jan. 21 meeting.Warren Co.
