Charles Wilmer Tucker, 85, of Warrenton, passed away on April 16. Born on January 21, 1941 in a cabin on the Big Peine River, Charlie was the son of Wilmer, and Martha Tucker. He grew up in St. Louis City, where he attended Central High School.
Charlie spent his career working in the window world. He took pride in his sales, and knowledge in his product. Outside of work, he loved his family, his dogs, Cardinal Baseball, Mizzou Basketball & Football, and any sports game on TV. He loved to play Texas Hold ‘Em, and going to the casino. In his younger years, he loved coaching baseball, football, and basketball, and did this for many years. He enjoyed making people laugh.
He is survived by Judy Tucker, his wife of more than 46 years, a brother, Ron Tucker. His children, Christine (Nathan) Shoemaker, Connie (Tim) Lake, Craig (Christina) Tucker, Lauren (Lori) Curley, and Lisa Collins. He has 7 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister in law, Donna Tucker.
He will be remembered not only for the life he lived, but for the joy he brought to others every day. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 25, at College Methodist Church, in Warrenton from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Lunch will be served. Cardinal attire is encouraged. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to College Methodist Church.
