Cathleen Marie Schroeder

Mrs. Cathleen Marie Schroeder (nee: Landes) of Warrenton, passed away on Wednesday, October 18. She was born on January 17, 1936, in St. Louis, to the late Philip and Amelia Landes (nee: Schmidt). 

Cathleen was united in marriage to Roland Schroeder on June 13, 1959, in Washington, and spent 64 wonderful years together. To this union, three children were born, Tony, Paul, and Jim. Cathleen was a homemaker and spent much of her time gardening, canning, and quilting. She was a member of Immanuel UCC Holstein for many years where she also spent much of her time with her church friends and family. Cathleen also enjoyed playing Scrabble and other board games with her friends. She loved the outdoors and looked forward to hunting, fishing, and camping with her family. Most of all, spending time with her family and playing with her grandchildren is what meant the most to her. She was a devoted Christian, loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend to many. 

Those that are grateful for having shared in Cathleen's life are her beloved husband, Roland; her loving children, Tony (Patty) Schroeder, Paul (Nancy) Schroeder, and Jim (Paula) Schroeder; her cherished grandchildren, Steven (Meggan) Sanders, Charles Schroeder, Clayton Schroeder, Ashley (Justin) Sherrill, Marissa (Cody) Franklin, Morgan Schroeder (Jerret), and Blake (Megan Schroeder; her dear great-grandchildren, Jayce, Elijah, and Weston Sanders, Jameson Sherrill, Oliver and Allison Franklin, and Katherine Schroeder. She was a dear aunt to many, as well as many other relatives and friends. 

A visitation for Cathleen will be held from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. on Monday, October 23, with a 12 p.m. Celebration of Life service to immediately follow at Immanuel UCC Holstein in Marthasville. Burial will follow in Immanuel UCC Holstein Cemetery. Memorial donations are appreciated to Immanuel UCC Holstein in c/o Martin Funeral Home.
