Catherine Elaine Unnerstall passed away peacefully on August 17, at the age of 80. Born on February 27, 1945, Catherine’s body was donated to Washington University in St.Louis where her body will be studied. Catherine was the cherished daughter of Edwin and Virginia (nee: West) Smith.
Catherine was married to Carl Unnerstall. She was mother of Dean, Dale, Dennis, David Unnerstall, and Debra Moss; grandmother to 11; great grandmother to 2. She was preceded in death by parents and a grandson.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, September 16, at Warrenton Faith Christian Family Church (FCFC). Visitation will be held from 2 P.M. to 5 P.M., followed by a service at 5 P.M., and dinner will follow. Please feel free to wear purple, Catherine's favorite color, in her honor. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to St. Jude’s and the Wounded Warriors Organizations.
