Billy “Bill” Lee Conway, of Warrenton, departed this life Oct. 19, 2020, at the age of 86 years.

He was born Nov. 9, 1933, in Shannon County to James Orville and Minnie Alice (Horton) Conway.

He served in the U. S. Army from 1953 to 1958 and was a member of the 101st Airborne. He married Allyn “Gale” Marsh April 9, 1960, in St. Louis. They celebrated 60 years of marriage this past April.

He was a carpenter for most of his life as well as a hunter and fisherman. He loved his family, especially his grand- and great-grandchildren. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Warrenton and previously at Westlake Church of Christ in Wentzville.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and all six brothers, Leslie, Ronnie, JD, Wayne, Raymond and Carl.

He is survived by his wife Gale, daughter Tina (Darien) Wideman of Warrenton, and son Barry Conway of Wright City; six grandchildren, Tony (Sarah) Allen, Jeff (Ana) Allen, Stephanie Conway, Justin (Katrina) Conway, Tony (Monica) Wideman and Nichole Wideman; 10 great-grandchildren, Haylie and Aubrie Allen, Devon Conway, Ryan Soltysiak, Eduardo, Luciana and Ezekiel Christine, Deven Yates, Allison and Bennett Wideman. He is also survived by a dear friend, who was more like a son, Mark (Rebecca) Shimer.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, Nov. 14,11 a.m. at the Warrenton Lions Club. Attendees are asked to wear a mask.
