William “Bill” Bockhorst of Foristell, passed away on Sunday, December 3, at the age
of 79.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sharon (nee Schulz), son Kraig (Renee Klautzer) Bockhorst of Lake St. Louis; and daughter, Tara (Jason) Prewitt (Bockhorst) of Wentzville; and nine grandchildren Brittany (Diego) Baez (Bockhorst) of McDonald, TN, Morgan (Geoff Green) Bockhorst of Foristell, Nicholas Bockhorst of O’Fallon, Jillian Bockhorst of O’Fallon, Audrey Bockhorst of O’Fallon,  Alyssa Prewitt of Wentzville, Breanna Prewitt of Wentzville, Jessica Whitehead of Wentzville, Taylor Whitehead of Woodbridge, VA; and four great grandchildren Isabelle Baez of McDonald, TN, Rosalyn Green of Foristell, Wilson Green of Foristell, Morgan Green of Foristell; He is preceded in death by his father, Delbert Henry Bockhorst, mother, Ruby Hawkins (Estill) Bockhorst and recently his brother Daniel “Dan” Bockhorst of Wright City.

Bill worked as a meat cutter and then at Boeing as a crater packer for over 20 years. Throughout his life, Bill enjoyed playing baseball, shooting trap, hunting, fishing, and boating. He had a great love of nature and animals. Bill always enjoyed good food, especially sweets such as carrot cake and a good vanilla shake. Most of all, Bill was a family man who loved being in the presence of all who loved him. As he took his last breath in this life, he was surrounded by love and care. He was surely welcomed home into the arms of his beloved family members who preceded him to the next life where they will be together forever.

A visitation will be held Saturday, December 9, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Pitman Funeral Home, in Wentzville.
