Mrs. Betty May Tinsley (nee: Pitman) of Warrenton, MO., passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2020. Betty was born on November 27, 1933, in Hamburg, MO., to the late Dennis Dewitt and Josirene Caroline (nee: Martin) Pitman. She had reached the age of 86 years 9 months and 10 days.

Betty was united in marriage to Richard Arthur Tinsley on May 8, 1954. To this union, five children were born. Betty was a homemaker and enjoyed raising her children and caring for her family. She was a die-hard fan of the St. Louis Cardinal Baseball team, never wanting to miss a game. She also loved to read and enjoyed working outside in her yard burning leaves. Betty had a very sassy nature. She was outspoken, strong-willed, and very independent and she loved to dance. Betty was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Warrenton.

Betty May Tinsley was preceded in death by her loving husband Richard; her parents, Dennis and Josirene Pitman. She is survived by her five children, Carol Ragan and husband John of Granite City, IL., Susie Brown and husband Tim of Bourbon, MO., Rich Tinsley Jr. and wife Michelle of Foristell, MO., Diane Berube and husband Michael of Portland, MO., and Sandy Rock and husband Chuck of St. Peters, MO.; 12 grandchildren, Matthew, Jared, Tara, Staci, Amy, Damon, Jada, Sean, Stephanie, Nicole, Griffin, and Delaney; multiple great-grandchildren; six siblings, Shirley Dickherber, Jessie Hastings, Ruby Malberg, Elton Pitman, Janice Cross, and Billy Pitman; other relatives and many friends.
