Mrs. Betty Lois Raterman (nee: Hainey), 86, Warrenton, passed away early Sunday morning, Feb. 23, 2020. She was born on April 2, 1933, in Maryville, Mo., to the late Rex and Zena (nee: Embry) Hainey.
Betty was married to William Frank Raterman on August 1, 1959, in Tucson, Arizona. To this union, four children were born; Terry, Ron, Jim, and Randy. They happily celebrated 41 years of marriage before his passing on Feb. 4, 2001. Betty loved her family very much, she loved being a mother to her four sons. She enjoyed gardening and tending to her plants. Betty was a good cook and especially enjoyed her sweets. She loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Betty Raterman was preceded in death by her loving husband William; her parents, Rex and Zena; and three brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by her four sons, Terry Raterman and wife Cathy, Ron Raterman and significant other Nancy Taylor, Jim Raterman and wife Kay, Randy Raterman and wife Sandy; 14 grandchildren, Heather Blass and husband Doug, Chad Medsker, Scott Raterman and wife Sydney, Justin Broce and wife Gesa, Ryan Raterman and wife Caroline, Dustin Raterman, Caityln Struckhoff and husband Jon, Briana Raterman, Amy Raterman, Danny Raterman and fiancé Cheyenne Price, Katie Raterman, Melanie Raterman, Hannah McNerney, Jordan McNerney; 7 great-grandchildren, Emmet, Mason, Liliana, August, Rhett, Ryli, Madelyn; sister-in-law, Marie Weidner, Dee Raterman, Virginia Hainey, Susie Hainey; other relatives and many friends.
Visitation for Mrs. Betty Raterman will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2020, at Martin Funeral Home, Warrenton, from 4-7:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 26, also at the funeral home, at 10:00 a.m.
Burial will follow at Smith Creek Cemetery in Warrenton.
