Ashley Laverne Harris of Wright City passed away on Saturday, April 29. She was born on December 4, 2006, in St. Charles, to Duane and Jessica Harris. Ashley had reached the age of 16 years.
Ashley had a "fiery" personality, always bringing a smile and making others laugh. She loved her dog, Molly, loved to sing, and could always be heard blaring her favorite music. Driving with her friends, taking pics, and selfies, and making Tik Toks and Snap Chat were some of her favorite things. Hanging with her sister, brothers, and friends was what meant the most to her. Her family was everything to her.
Those that will remain grateful for having shared in her life are her parents, Duane and Jessica; her siblings, Jessica (Cody) Craven, Luther (Meagan) Harris, Brett Harris, Katelynn Harris, and Jordan Harris; her grandmother, Katherine Dixon; dear friends, Elizabeth Schroeder, Kaylen Merrell, and dear cousin and friend, Kenzie Dixon; godfather, Jeffery Moore, and aunts, uncles, cousin, and friends. She is preceded in death by her grandmommy, Doris Harris; her grandfather, Luther B. Harris; great-grandma, Velvabell Nordeen; her cousin, Jeremiah Wombacher and her dear friend, Lizzy Cole. She was a dear daughter, sister, niece, cousin, and friend to many.
A visitation for Ashley will be held from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. on Sunday, May 7. A Celebration of Life service on Monday, May 8, at 11 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home. Memorial donations are appreciated by the Harris family in honor of Ashley.
