Arthur "Art" Schroeder of Wentzville, passed away on November 5, at the age of 93. He was the beloved husband of the late Jean Schroeder (nee: Smith). He is survived by his brother, Jim Schroeder of Wentzville; two step-daughters and several grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father, Eugene Schroeder, mother, Catherine Schroeder (nee: Mispagel), brother, Chuck Schroeder, sister, Marion Schroeder.
A lifelong farmer, Art dedicated his life to the grain and hay fields that surrounded his beloved hometown. Art was a devoted member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, and he lived his life guided by the principles of his faith. He was an avid baseball fan, with a particular passion for the STL Cardinals. He enjoyed working on the farm and spending time with his brother’s and sister. Art's life was a testament to the values of hard work, faith, and family. Art will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, November 12, from 2:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Pitman Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be held Wednesday, November 13, at 10:00 A.M. at St. Patrick Catholic Church (S. Church St, Wentzville). In honor of Art, donations may be made to: Masses at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Wentzville, in care of Pitman Funeral Home.
