Mr. Anthony William Falter, of Columbia, Warrenton and St. Louis, passed away on Saturday, November 22. He was born on November 1, 1934 in Koelztown, Missouri, to the late William and Theresia (nee: Reichel) Falter. Tony reached the age of 91 years.

Tony proudly served our country in the United States Army, serving for two years in Guam. He was united in marriage to Betty Ann Bax on November 10, 1956 in Freeburg. They celebrated 57 years of marriage before her passing in October 2014. This union was blessed with three daughters. Tony worked at McDonnell Douglas in St. Louis for 40 years and 1week as an aircraft mechanic. He and Betty loved to travel and were fortunate enough to have visited all 50 states, with Missouri being his favorite and Colorado being a close second. Tony enjoyed working with his hands and could fix just about anything. He learned many skills growing up on a farm, building airplanes and creating and fixing many things around the house. These skills served him well in his retirement in Warrenton, especially with Agape Ministries for over 20 years. He was also an active member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, VFW and the Warren County Senior Center. Tony loved his family dearly and was happiest when all three of his daughters were with him. He enjoyed his last 8 years living in Columbia with Deb and Michael in his downstairs apartment.

Tony Falter was preceded in death by his loving wife, Betty Ann Falter; his parents, William and Theresia Falter; five siblings, Evelyn Bain, Rita Wulff, Joseph Falter (died in infancy), Benedict Falter and Laura Wieberg. He is survived by his three daughters, Deborah Johnoff (Michael), Sr. Pamela Falter OSF, and Lisa Francis (Brian); two grandchildren, Caitlin Smith (Gale) and Brianna Dyer (Troy); two great-grandchildren, James and Theadora; one sister, Vernie Sandbothe; sister-in-law, Marie Haller; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
