Annette Ruth Georg

Mrs. Annette Ruth Georg (nee: Cook) of Warrenton, met her Lord and Savior on Sunday, January 1. She was born on March 4, 1937 in Fulton County, IN, to the late Walter and Zella (nee: Carter) Cook. Annette had reached the age of 85 years.

Annette was united in marriage to Charles F. Georg on February 27, 1988 in O'Fallon. They spent eight wonderful years together before his passing in 1996. Annette worked for 20+ years at General Motors and was a volunteer at the Senior Center in Warrenton. She was a Sunday School teacher and also worked at Kids Under Construction for 6 years. She loved to cook for her family and friends. Annette was a strong Christian woman. She knew the Bible inside and out. She was often referred to as a walking Bible Thesaurus. Annette could tell a Bible story so well and with such great detail, her eyes and face would light up when she was telling them. She was especially gifted in telling those stories to children in her family and her church. Another of Annette's many gifts was teaching children about God and how much he loved them. God truly knew what he was doing when he gave her that gift. Annette was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church for many years. She loved her church and her church family. She thoroughly enjoyed every minute she could spend with her children and grandchildren. Annette was a faithful follower of Christ, a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and a very dear friend to so many.

Annette Georg was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Georg; her parents, Walter and Zella Cook; four sisters, Estella Eads, Betty Coldren, Barbara Hudson and Phyllis Rautenkranz; two brothers, "Art" OA Cook and AJ Cook; one grandson in law, Adam Peck.
