Alvin Lavern Adams

Mr. Alvin Lavern "Red" Adams, of Warrenton, passed away on Sunday, December 18. He was born on March 30, 1949, in St. Louis, to the late Alvin Edward and Neva Doris Adams (nee: Sumpter). Alvin had reached the age of 73 years.

Red was united in marriage to Lora Mae Adams (nee: Polston) in 1971 and spent 50 wonderful years together. To this union, four children were born, Patty, Pam, Scott, and Paula.

Red spent many years as a painter at Binkley. He loved Bass fishing, gambling, watching Cardinal Baseball, and woodworking. He also had quite a collection of baseball cards and coins. His favorite places to be were either at home or at the Casino. Spending time with his family is what he loved the most and was always up for telling a good story.

Those that are grateful for having shared in Red's life are his beloved wife, Lora Adams; his loving children, Patty (Rick) Griesenauer, Pam Adams, Scott (Brandi) Adams, and Paula (Jeremy) Carr; his dear sister, DeAnn Hampton, and stepsister, Lora Leigh Jones. He was the cherished grandfather of 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Red is preceded in death by his parents, the late Alvin and Neva Adams. He was a beloved, husband, loving father and grandfather, dear brother, uncle, cousin, and friend to many.
