An 18-year-old Florissant man was seriously injured in a crash early Sunday morning, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The crash happened at 2:43 a.m. on westbound Interstate 70 west of Wright City.
According to the accident report filed by Trooper D.H. Bert, the 18-year-old, Pete J. Schneider, was failed to yield to Foristell Police Department. The man was exceeding the posted speed limit and failed to stay in a single lane.
The car, a 1991 Dodge Stealth, traveled off the right side of the roadway and overturned multiple times.
Schneider was taken by Warren County Ambulance District to Mercy Hospital St. Louis with serious injuries. The report states that the car was totaled in the crash.
It is unknown if Schneider was wearing his seatbelt.
