Like a fine wine, Jonathan Windmann just keeps getting better on the golf course as he ages.
On Monday, Windmann medaled for the second straight year at the Eastern Missouri Conference golf tournament.
After placing 15th as a sophomore, Windmann tied for 11th this season. This time around, he shot 94 at the Sun Valley Golf Course in Elsberry. Elsberry's Rex Mauzy (73) won the event.
The front nine holes of the course were where Windmann excelled with five pars, three bogeys and a double bogey. He had just a single par of the back nine holes of the course.
As a team, Wright City shot 443 to finish eighth in the conference. Van-Far won the team title with 379 strokes.
After Windmann, junior Parker Brown shot 109 to card the Wildcats’ second-best score of the event.
The Wildcats has a quick turnaround for the Class 3 District 2 tournament at Tanglewood Golf Course in Fulton scheduled for Wednesday.
