Three Wright City wrestlers competed at the Brentwood Invite last weekend.
Cody Cushing and Caleb Hall both registered multiple wins to place in the top-five in their weight class. Cushing and Hall both won a pair of competitive matches and a third match by medical forfeit.
Hall placed fourth in the 175-pound weight class. Hall won contested matches by fall over Mekhi Green of Normandy JV and Tucker Bertrand of Valle Catholic. Hall fell to Kane Strehl of Sullivan in the third place match.
Cushing placed fifth in the 215-pound weight class.Cushing earned wins over Damian Miller of Hancock on a 6-1 decision and Tristyn Hurshman of Lexington JV by fall. Cushing beat Alexis Morales of Normandy Collaborative by medical forfeit for fifth place.
Joseph Beitel won a match in the 150-pound weight class competition. He beat Bryon Jenkins of Brentwood JV by fall in 1:25.
