A 76-year-old Wright City woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash on Highway A in St. Charles County Thursday, May 7.
Dorothy R. Hoard, of Wright City, was pronounced dead at the scene of the 2:50 p.m. crash. It occurred just north of Interstate 70. Hoard was a passenger in a 2006 Chevrolet Malibu driven by Oscar J. Hoard, 78, of Wright City.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol said the northbound Malibu failed to yield to oncoming traffic and made a left turn into the path of a southbound 2005 GMC Envoy driven by Megan L. Abramczyk, 26, of O'Fallon. The Envoy struck the passenger side of the Malibu, police reported.
Both drivers were transported to St. Joseph Hospital West in Lake Saint Louis with minor injuries.
