A Wright City woman was involved in a car crash on Feb. 26 at the intersection of Highway T and Highway N that sent two Washington residents to the hospital.
The accident happened at 8:59 p.m., according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol accident report.
According to the report, a 2018 BMW 320I driven by Brittany P. Funk, 43 of Wright City, was making a left turn from eastbound Highway OO on to northbound Highway T when it was struck by a 2021 Chevrolet Equinox driven by Wayne J. Lanwermeyer, 86 of Washington.
The report indicates that Lanwermeyer failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection, and the front right of his vehicle struck the right front of Funk's vehicle.
Lanwermeyer's passenger, Shirley M. Lanwermeyer, 88 of Washington, suffered serious injuries in the crash. Both Lanwermeyers were taken to Mercy Hospital Washington by Warren County Ambulance. The report says both were wearing their safety devices.
The report indicates that Funk was not injured in the crash.
Both vehicles were listed as totaled and towed from the scene.
