A Wright City woman, 59, sustained minor injuries in a two-car accident in St. Charles County on the evening of June 20, according to the Missouri state Highway Patrol.
The Wright City woman was traveling west on Interstate 70 west of U.S. Route 61 and a St. Charles woman, 20, was driving behind her.
According to the patrol the St. Charles woman was following too closely and when the Wright City woman slowed down and stopped due to congestion ahead, the St. Charles woman crashed into the rear of her vehicle.
The Wright City woman was transported to SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital Lake St. Louis via ambulance. The St. Charles woman did not report any injuries, according to the patrol.
