A Wright City woman is accused of lying to police about the whereabouts of her boyfriend who had active warrants and was connected to a case involving a stolen vehicle.
Jennifer Hoffmann, of the 200 block of Kerland Dr., Wright City, was charged last week with felony hindering prosecution of a felony. A warrant was issued for Hoffmann’s arrest and a $10,000 cash-only bond was set.
According to the probable cause statement, Hoffmann was contacted by law enforcement about the location of her boyfriend, identified as Justin Webb. Hoffmann denied having contact with him, though she later admitted he had been at her home, according to the probable cause statement. Hoffmann’s vehicle also was captured on surveillance video near the scene where a vehicle was stolen by Webb, police reported.
