Charley Craig, 34, of Wright City, was charged with one count of stealing $750 or more, a felony, stemming from an incident that occurred on Oct. 14, 2023.
According to the probable cause statement filed by Wright City Police Sergeant Scott Taylor, he was dispacted to a location in Wright City on Oct. 16, 2023 where the victims reported that Craig had stolen $2,789 from the cash drawer and safe of the business. The name of the business was redacted.
According to the probable cause statement, Craig also messaged the victim on Facebook telling her she had taken the money and spent it on a video poker machine within the business. She was also an employee of the business at the time of the theft.
A warrant was issued for her arrest and she is out on bond with special conditions.
