A 26-year-old Wright City woman was charged Aug. 22 with multiple drug counts. Jessica Powell of the 28000 block of Schneider Lane in Wright City, was charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. According to court documents, Warren County deputies, assisting Division of Family Services, received a hot line call alleging possible drug use at the Powell home.Powell told investigators that she had used methamphetamine in the past three days and that she had some “tooters inside the residence.” According to court documents, deputies obtained consent to search the residence and they found several items of drug paraphernalia and straws or “tooters” with residue and a smoking device with a visible green leafy substance inside.A field test on the straw tested positive for meth. All of the items pertaining to drug use were located in Powell’s bedroom, authorities allege. Powell’s bond was set at $10,000.Wright City Woman Busted for Drugs
