The Wright City football team captured its first win of the season at home on Friday, beating Van-Far 44-30. The Wildcats will travel to Montgomery County next Friday. Warrenton fell to Zumwalt South 56-21 on Homecoming, after surrendering a 21-7 first half lead. The Warriors struggled to slow down the running prowess of Zumwalt South's Chase Abbington, giving up seven unanswered touchdowns in the final three quarters. Junior T.J. Lafaver started at quarterback for Warrenton, while junior Devin Roberts also returned from an injury. Warrenton will host Union on Friday.
