Wright City wrestler Joe Rice, who was a junior last school year, placed fourth at the state wrestling meet. Teammate Demetrice LeNoir also qualified for the state wrestling meet and did not place. Lady Wildcat wrestler Elizabeth Riggs also qualified for the state wrestling tournament and did not place. Riggs, a sophomore last school year, placed third at the state track and field meet in the 300-meter hurdle event.
The Wright City baseball and boys soccer teams finished last season with winning records. The Wildcat baseball team finished the season 15-13 and as the Class 4, District 6 runner-up. The Wildcats defeated Bowling Green 7-6 in the quarterfinal. They topped Lutheran St. Charles in the semifinal before falling to St. Charles West in the district final.
The Wright City boys soccer team finished the season with an 11-8 record. They lost to Christian in the first round of districts.
