The Wright City football team fell to 0-2 in district play on Friday, losing 62-7 to Bowling Green. The Wildcats faced a 27-0 deficit after one quarter and trailed 55-7 by halftime. Senior Jared Schmidt scored Wright City's lone touchdown on a two-yard run, and sophomore Ben Randolph added the Wildcats' first successful extra-point attempt of the season with 2:07 left in the half. Tom Lathrop had over 400 rushing yards for Bowling Green, scoring eight of its nine touchdowns. The Wildcats will host Winfield next Thursday in the final game of the regular season. ____ The Warrenton football team dropped a tight battle with Borgia, losing 28-20. The Warriors will host St. Charles West next Thursday.
