The lives of a dozen one-time area residents will be brought to life and retold through costumed impersonators during a special program at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 18, at the Wright City Cemetery.Program guests will hear the stories of a Civil War soldier who escaped his Confederate captors and returned to Warren County, a long-time minister, the matriarch of a prominent business family, an early physician and his wife, German immigrants and farm families.The Cemetery Walk is sponsored by the Wright City Memorial Society at the flagpole in the cemetery.Parking in the cemetery is reserved for those unable to walk from the church to the cemetery.Healthy persons who are able to walk are asked to park in the Immanuel United Church of Christ parking lot.Following the program, a selection of home-made cookies prepared from vintage recipes will be served in the basement of the church’s fellowship hall. The program will be held rain or shine. If it rains, the entire program will be moved inside.Cemetery
