The Wright City R-II’s new high school officially opened to students at the start of the second semester. While it was originally supposed to open on Jan. 7, the start of the semester was delayed by the significant winter storms that passed through the area last week.
The school has opened, but some work on the exterior and interior of the building is ongoing. School officials have previously stated the football, baseball and softball fields will not be completed until March of this year and work remains on organizing and setting up the library in the new building.
