Wright City residents will see their property taxes go up slightly in the fiscal year of 2013 to pay down water and sewage bonds. While the property tax rates on parks, lighting, and general services will remain the same, the tax to pay down the combined water works and sewage bonds will go up from .0545 to .0589 or 4/10s of one percent. If a house has an assessed valuation of $10,000, the difference will be an increase of $4, said Wright City Treasurer Karen Girando. For more on this story, see Thursday's Record.Wright City Property Taxes Up Slightly
