A Wright City man was seriously injured in a motorcycle crash Sunday, Aug. 23, at the Weldon Spring scenic view parking lot on Highway 94 in St. Charles County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The crash happened at 2:38 p.m. The 25-year-old Wright City man was riding a 2026 Kawasaki Z900RS motorcycle eastbound on Highway 94, traveling too fast for road conditions and operating the vehicle in a careless and imprudent manner, according to the crash report. He struck a 2015 Volvo XC60 driven by a 17-year-old Creve Coeur girl, also traveling eastbound, that was turning into the parking lot.

The motorcyclist was ejected from the vehicle, which continued and additionally struck a 2018 Chevrolet Tahoe, driven by a 39-year-old Defiance man, in the westbound lane. The Wright City man was taken to Mercy Hospital St. Louis by St. Charles County Ambulance District personnel for treatment of serious injuries. The drivers of the Volvo and the Tahoe had no apparent injuries.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol no longer releases the names of the occupants involved in injury crashes.
