A 27-year-old Wright City man was killed in a one-car accident July 20 in St. Louis County.
The fatal crash occurred at 11 a.m. on westbound Highway 370 west of Highway 141 according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol accident report.
Bret A. Noble was pronounced dead at 11:12 a.m. at the scene by Robertson Fire Protection District personnel. His body was taken to the St. Louis County morgue.
The report indicates that Noble's 2021 International MHO25 tractor-trailer struck a concrete traffic barrier and overturned before coming to rest off the right side of the road.
The report indicates that a passenger, David E. Mahr, of St. Peters, suffered moderate injury in the crash. He was transported to Mercy Hospital in St. Louis.
Both occupants were wearing their safety devices, the report indicates.
A report from KMOV indicates that the fatal crash closed a portion of the highway near Discovery Bridge. One lane of the highway reopened to traffic about 12:30 p.m.
