A Wright City man, 22, and a 30-year-old Winfield man were involved in a car accident in Lincoln County on the evening of March 30, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

A Wright City man, 22, and a 30-year-old Winfield man were involved in a car accident in Lincoln County on the evening of March 30, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Both vehicles were traveling east on Highway 47 when the Wright City man slowed to make a left turn.
According to the patrol, the Winfield man was distracted and following too closely, and he struck the rear of the Wright City man’s vehicle.
The Winfield man sustained serious injuries in the accident and was taken to SSM Health St. Joseph Lake St. Louis via ambulance.
He was not wearing his seat belt in the accident, according to the patrol.
The Wright City man was wearing his seat belt and did not report any injuries.
