A 68-year-old Wright City man was transported to the hospital Wednesday April 22, following a two-vehicle accident on Interstate 70 mile marker 196 around 6:35 a.m..
According to a Missouri Highway Patrol traffic accident report, a 2025 Peterbilt 579 driven by a 25-year-old St. Louis man traveled off the right side of the roadway, impacting a guardrail causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle and travel through the highway separator and onto the westbound lane of the South Outer Road. The front of the Peterbilt truck then struck the front of a 2009 GMC Sierra driven by a 68-year-old Wright City man. The driver of the Sierra was transported by Warren County Ambulance District to SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital Lake St. Louis.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol no longer releases the names of the occupants involved in injury crashes.
